A firetruck in Oz, at least locally among the firies, is The Pump. A friend of ours started as a volunteer firie a couple of years ago and one day he was excitedly telling us that he was going drive The Pump for the first time. It took some explaining by him to help us to know what he was talking about.

It's not just said in an ordinary way, it is said as if it were The Batmobile, or The Popemobile - i.e. a very special vehicle.
