Then there's when people you know tell you about a great message board. You go to there, & lurk for a while, then you want to join in, except you know that some of your friends are active on the board & if you were to speak your mind some of the very narrow minded "friends" would have a totally different attitude toward your active participation in a larger group of Musically active folks. Different enough attitude to make alot of waves-as they have before with others. So, for the sake of peace, you use a nickname. All the while wishing that those people who claim their beliefs are above all others would remember the "golden rule" and be more tolerant/accepting of others.
