The first grade class might also like watching the eagle nest in Maine - that nest has three downy chicks who seem to be doing well, though the littlest one may have trouble in the long run if the parents can't provide enough food for all. However, this pair has had triplets before (the article doesn't say if all survived to adulthood), and we do seem to be having a mild spring, which should help.

These chicks hatched the week of April 10 (or at least the first two did - watchers only saw the third one last week - or maybe I should say only saw three at once so they knew there were three last week).

The camera angle isn't as good as the one in BC - but the chicks are very cute.
