Anticipation is definitely in the air and, of course, the eaglets are due at any minute but I don't have a good feeling about the egg with the hole in it. It may mean that the lttle hatchling wasn't strong enough to break the shell. It could also mean that a raven has found the nest.

As I said, I did see the nest unattended for awhile. Less than a minute actually. Maybe it was the changing of the guard.

I hope at least one eaglet survives. What is really amazing is watching them learn to fly.
