Ivor, why spend money on foreign players if there are enough home players of sufficient quality? The answer is think a reflection of our (UK) society. Huge numbers of our kids are lazy and obese and never take part in sport. When I was a kid, we played football every spare minute. Our people aren't hungry any more, many of the foreign players are. (It's the same in other sports, especially in UK athletics, which is currently disappearing down the tubes).
