But if everybody who could use it for local events did so in that way Mr Happy, we'd simply have thousands of threads of local rather than general interest. I don't think that's what the 'Cat was conceived for. I would, however, happily endorse an expansion of the "What's On? - Who's performing where?" permathread for such use rather than the main threads.
