"Farewell to Carlingford" is the song I am reminded of (it is in the DT-database), but a search with Alta Vista showed that there is indeed a song titled "Carlingford Bay" (sorry, no lyrics). It still could be the same song. Just in case, Anne, try "Carlingford" in the upper right hand corner for a search and you get three songs, though I doubt you get the one you are looking for.
