I heard yesterday that Young's is closing the Wandsworth Brewery which has been there since 1581, and is moving to Bedford where it is throwing in its lot with Charles Wells.
The dray horses which still do local deliveries will all be retired.
The end of a long and noble tradition, I hope the beer will taste as good when it's made in Bedford.
