I take exception to the "half-true" statement above....I made no such "personal remarks" in my post :-) nor will I -- although I am _seriously_ p_ssd_ and my reaction is equally as serious as the situation.
The book store is 50% the size it used to be and the corresponding art/framing operation is 200% the size. (the book store is where the music used to be shelved -- it now occupies a sparse four foot section on the bottom floor & you have to really search for it.)That's a fact.
Education department is functioning on 50% of former staffing levels.
Staffing of some "living history" and other "live" demonstrations has been cut back and/or missing many "experienced" hands. That's a fact.

If you want a "real" museum you should take some clues from Williamstown.

Possibly the success of Williamstown is that it remains essentially the same experience "on grounds" that it has been for over twenty years.(with no major changes.)
It isn't necessary to "think outside the box" -- you just have to be using the right box to start with.

And I'm sorry about my "cookie", but I lost a hard drive and this is the back-up. When I'm up and running I'll reset it.

>Again sorry for the off-topic, but it is a serious matter which possibly could impact future music festivals at the Seaport.
