When Barry and I checked in late April it was sad to see the book department at the Museum Store being downgraded, and music CD's practically non-existent.

I also checked in with the publications department and was saddened to find that much of their core staff had taken early retirement.

As an outsider I'm not privy to the "why" of it all, and it's unlikely that I'll be consulted in the future.

I would like the Sea Music Festival to continue, as well as many of the valuable educational activities. But the best I can do at this point is encourage people to attend the Festival, and for those most directly impacted urge them to bind up their wounds as well as they can.
