Mudcatters are strange. The point that everyone on this thread is making is exactly the one I made in the "The Meaning of Acoustic" thread, explaining why it was often necessary to use PA in a venue small enough that you ought to be able to do it purely acousticly. But in that thread, everyone seemed to think that a good musician or group would have no trouble getting everyone to be quiet and listen, so if we needed PA we were probably not that good.

Well, I know we aren't great, but I've been to performances by them as were, and they had the same problems. I think this thread is more in touch with reality - unfortunately.
