Interesting thread ~ this clears up one line in the song "Arthur McBride" which goes: "And the little wee drummer, we flattened his pow". I always thought that pow probably meant drum (of course it could I suppose it could have meant the head of the drum?). The next question that comes to mind is is the following line: "We made a foot ball of his rowdy-dow-dow". Could the term "rowdy-dow-dow" refer to his drum?Cap't Bob
