If I might be permitted to widen this to caps ~ as in flat caps I am appalled that new caps (UK) have suddenly grown long peaks the same length as the baseball caps

Frankly that is a move in the wrong direction, flat caps should fit neatly on the head to cover the bald patch or whatever as heat is lost greatly from the head

I can understand the request to remove the Hat with a wide peak, but I also would tend to ask why?

And whether I look as if I pose a threat to customers ~ if the answer is affirmative or rude I would tell them to stuff their drinks!
