As an Orthodox Jew, I am required to keep my head covered at all times. If asked to remove my hat I always keep my skullcap (Yarmulke) underneath my hat. I do remove my hat if asked to but my yarmulke stays on 24/7. Judges in all courts, both state & federal, have recognized this as a religious civil right. No private establishment that caters to the public has the right to ask me to remove my yarmulke without facing legal consequences.
