We know so little about Alzheimers- its cause, its progression, the ability to stave it off or lessen its severity...

I know a woman who was diagnosed as having early signs of it. I knew her in Juneau where she had come from Anchorage a few years before.

After her diagnosis, she wrapped up her affairs in Juneau and returned 'home' to Anchorage, where, she said, she had friends who cared.

She also was taking active steps to help her remember things, writing everything down she could think of and putting it all together. She backed up her material and deposited it with a couple of friends.

In the meantime, she said, she was going to enjoy life. She had always been active but now she had joined two clubs, including a games club, and she was planning some travel with a granddaughter.

Guest, BK, I think getting the computer was an excellent thing to do. The best of luck to you.
