My fundamentalist great-grandparents got married on 6-6-06 one hundred years ago. I got the impression that they didn't make a big deal of the 666 thing back then. At least not in their particular church. My great-grandfather told me a lot of stories from his youth and mentioned the wedding date with pride. Any numerical significance didn't cross his mind. Let people get fussed if they want.
