Hi, Mom! Guess what my wife, Susan, found? C'mon, take a guess. Okay, I'll give you a hint. It was in the bottom of one of those big decorative tins like caramel popcorn and such comes in. And the tin used to belong to Susan's sister who was a Republican before she died. (She may still be a Republican for all I know. I don't know if they let Republicans into Heaven, but I'm sure Hell's full of 'em.) Give up? It's a three-inch campaign button from 1972 with a caption that reads "Now more than ever." above smiling, waving pictures of Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew! And there was also a little one-inch button that just says "Nixon now." with no picture. I have checked eBay and, though nobody had those exact buttons up for auction, similar ones from the same period are worth around a buck. That's about 99¢ more than Nixon or Agnew were worth.
