Far Side Banks of Jordan is on June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash's CD, Press On. As Mark Clark said, it is a moving song.

On the CD they talk about how they got the song- written by a schoolteacher in New York - and they alternate verses. In the second verse, June sings:

When it's your turn to go likewise, don't feel lost
For I will be the first one that you see."
