I do not own my muse: I am possessed
By longing for her gift. Will she words send,
Echoes of dream, or is silence the best
That heart might hope for, to my longings end?
I do not wish for freedom from the chain
Desire and dream have wound around my heart.
Yet, should heart under her spell still remain
When she has no need for my dreams to start?
I do not have reason to think that time
Will alter situation: All dreams feel
Cannot change past. Can I hope with my rhyme
To even echo of her whisper steal?
I know dream is not real, yet I will rest
Knowing I was, for a while, by muse blessed.
