Crowhugger, to my great chagrin I had no interest in French when in school. Took Latin & German from 7th grade on through high school, but it doesn't show much now.*BG* I had Spanish when I was in grade school, briefly, then picked up more about 8yrs ago when my husband was working in Venezuela and I had to bill them in Spanish! Really interesting...I called a piece of equipment a "fur coat" one time! I have picked up a few phrases in French which I recognise and the Latin helps with a lot.I told Rog about this thread and SP, last night, then for the first time, he tells me about an ancestor who was supposed to've given the Plains of Abraham to Quebec City a long time ago! And I've been married to him for twenty yrs! Cela est digne de lui!
