There's no better place to relax and clear my mind than at the top of a very tall conifer. One of my favourites is beside the dusk-time gathering place of scores of these talkers. An affectionate attitude was my only choice, for I find the yellow beaked blackies can sound so opinionated, as am I once I get going. Kindred stuff, you know? Crows take excellent care of their young and the work is evenly shared between mom and pop, quite unlike the human persuasion. They are valuable contributors to a cleaner environment, and wear the most exquisite cape of colours that dance wildly in the sinking sunlight.

So it seemed like a good idea to me. Still does.
