Thanks LH for your well-reasoned arguments. I think that Old Guy is going to have the same knee-jerk reaction to the word 'communism' however it is used, from that practised by the early Christians to the worst excesses of Stalinism. State communism has a pretty bad track record, although it has probably benefitted more Cubans and Vietnamese than under their previous Governments.
