Actually, Bobert, I've been single for all but 7 (awful) married months of my life. At age 54, I am so used to doing what I want without asking someone else about it, I have trouble relating to your problem. If I want to go somewhere or do something and have the funds needed, I just do it. Now, if your wife decided to be that independent, you may or may not like it. She could possibly just start spending more time away from home on her own.
