CH I'm as concerned about morbid obesity as the next person.

What does infuriate me however is the continual presentation of body images (particularly to women) that are "biologically inappropiate" and result in a frighteningly high percentage being disgusted by their (perfectly "normal") body shape and an increasing range of eating "disorders"

There is some evidence to show that the diet "industry" (which makes money on the back of so much misery and engendered self-disgust) is also responsible, to some extent for actual increases in weight as repeated (yo-yo) dieting drives the "natural weight range" higher for some people!

Unlike some of the posters here, I would never accuse you of sexism CH (You can be equally rude to anybody! :) ) but nevertheless, from the very title of this thread, it would appear that fat is still a "feminist issue"
