We are fortunate to have visiting in the New London, Connecticut area, on Saturday, 26 August, Danny O'Flaherty, of Connemara and late of New Orleans, for many years the proprietor of O'Flaherty's Irish Channel Pub in the French Quarter, where he played regularly in the Ballad Room. He will be in New London for Celts & Currachs, the first celtic heritage day in New London, Connecticut. We will have currach rowing instruction in the morning, then food, music, dancing, exhibition racing, and finish up with a concert by Danny at the historic waterfront park of downtown New London.
While he is in the area, we would love to help enable more people to hear this very special performer. We are planning a house concert too, on Friday night, so please e-mail me if you are interested.
