Pete is one who very much appreciates people and times that stand
out in the memory. He's one who seems to remember just about
everyone he ever met, and can recall a shared time that stood
out for him. Pete may loom larger-then-life until you've met
him; after that, he's just tall. Then sit down to play some
music with him, and you'll realize that your in the presence
of a consumate musician and of an ensemble player who gets
everyone into the act.

All that said, about the best thing you could do for him
would be to send him a card and tell him about one thing
that you'll never forget that his music has taught you,
and say thanks.
