Thanks to all who posted info on this thread. It was really helpful and greatly appreciated. Had a brilliant time and although we saw just a small part of Ireland, we loved what we saw and intend to go back again. Met some lovely musicians in Clonakilty.

Particular thanks to Rosie who used the music grapevine to persuade 'fiddler' Dan, to lend me an accordion for a session. All those extra buttons on a 120, luxury after my 48 bass! Thanks Dan!
I found the musicians at the session very welcoming and encouraging. They gave me the opportunity to play a couple of my own tunes, too which was lovely, for me, (even if not necessarily for everyone else, lol!)

Captain Birdseye...We went to Ballydehob, but unfortunately, not on the right night for the sessions you mentioned. We did keep a look out for you....we are probably totally wrong in what we think you look like as I'm afraid to say the Birdseye fishfinger advert swayed us, :-) Thanks for all your info, anyway!
