Can't you just keep in mind that these people don't own the companies they are working for, and that they are working class stiffs like most of us? It's a thankless job with often horrid employers who call them on the carpet over call and closing quota shortfalls. Rather than wreaking vengeance on these hapless callers, can't you just say no thanks and hang up, letting them go on to the next call?

Yes, it's annoying. So are television commercials, door-knocking evangelists and campaigning politicians.
