Thread Name: Lyr Req: Johnnie in the Morning (Martin Young)
Subject: Lyr Req: Johnnie in the Morning - Martin Young
Has anyone the missing lyrics ( chords even better) for following song "Johnnie in the Morning" which was written by Martin Young from Kent, England.   Heard it on the CD ' Climbing Boy' by Martin Long ( but he is now calling himself Martin Young) from UK.

                Johnnie in the Morning

I have nowhere to call my home so I'll travel on alone
And I can take all .................................................................
And I sleep up on me cart with no tears when I depart
And they know me as Johnnie in the morning

I have donkeys for to sell though I love them very well
And with rock salt and silver sand I can supply you
And I'll gladly hand out sweets to the children that I meet
Then I'll go out on my way when I've a mind to

I have come from Bristol town and I'm known for miles around
............................................................ have I sold her
And if the weather it is fine then I'll stop and pass the time
For I have no cares to weigh down on my shoulders

Well it's a solitary life but I've known it for a while
Oh I listened to me father's          warning
Though no-one knows me name but they greet me just the same
And they call me Johnny in the morning

So I'll travel where I please with no-one to bother me
And I'll take shelter when the wind and rain is storming
And then slowly I'll arrive, with time it's on my side
It's " Welcome, Johnny in the Morning"
