I guess what I'm really interested in is finding some trad. Irish tunes or songs that women wrote/may have written. Difficult, I know, since they're supposed to be anonymous, but.... what did women do as composers of trad music before the twentieth century? today, we do have female groups and performers writing and recording songs, but I want to know what happened before women's lib.
