Side note...The Scottish Guitar by Rob MacKillop is nice primer for the playing of such on guitar, and might make a nice companion book to the thread topic. It also was "ridiculously" cheap, free in fact, on line, though I don't know if it's currently available. MacKillop had titles on Mel Bay but not this one I understand.
