Thanks to Micca and Leadfingers for helping making me feel welcome at Sharp's last evening. We had a fine table for JudyB, my niece Jenna, and our London hostess Anne, where we could observe everything going on.

I hadn't been to Sharp's since 1997 and it was pleasing to find so little changed in the years. The bar was still there and fully finctional, the same graphics were on the wall, and as far as I could tell, the same individuals gathered around!

There was quite a range of singing from traditional drinking songs, old ballads, sea shanties, contemporary, country western and parodies of all of the above.

I led off with West Indies Blues, which people seemed to enjoy chorusing along on. After the break I was invited to sing two songs in a row and decided to do Dead Dog Cider and The Long Road Home.

We have to leave for the British Library now!

Cheerily,
