Well, he worked for the San Joaquin Valley Library System before he moved for FL, following his girl friend (whom he has now married). He's one of the most knowledgeable of the Sysadmins who are at this conferenece, he likes good hoppy beer, collects knives and daggers, and he's a pretty good guy all the way around.

Now Marge, she's going around with a modified "First Time Attendee" ribbon, only she's changed "First" to "Last" because she's retiring at the end of the year.

And of course Gretchen was here and I had nice talk with her, and with Jim and Q and all sorts of folks. Why, one of them even said six or seven words to me before taking off to talk to someone he considers more important (let's just say that he has a very high opinion of himself and is working in his last job in this region -- I know of no one who considers him a) competent to be a library director and b) a decent human being).
