Hilliard (1918-1971) was American, known primarily as a lyricist. Among his other songwriting credits: Disney's "Alice in Wonderland." "Our Day Will Come" (1963 hit for Ruby and the Romantics), "Somebody Bad Stole The Wedding Bell" and a couple of forgotten Broadway shows. Also, a propos of various Mudcat threads about old children's records, "Genie the Magic Record."
