PRAISEPOEM FOR GIAC AND CUJIMMY

Here come Giac and Cujimmy aboard,
Hurrah for New Members! I say, thank the Lord!
Not a clinker among 'em, not a single false note!
A crew that can get along well in this boat!

Join me in welcome (hell, raise up a cheer!)
For these newcats or newfish, or howe'er they appear.
Has anyone warned them the 'Cat can be rough?
Ah well! Not to worry! They look tough enough!


Giac has been lurking and checking it out,
Of her place in our company, folks, I've no doubt.
Can't you just see her, guitar on her knee,
With a fine sense of humor, and great irony?

Anyone who loves Roy (Mr. Rogers to me),
Who remembers her musical uncle fondly,
Who appreciates help she's received from a friend,
Whose message holds humor, before posting's end--

Well she's quicker by far than the credit she takes,
And brave, too, to join us, be we ruffian or rake--
I'll go ahead and 'fess how we 'Cats get so quick--
We keep coming back here to post! Helps us tick!


Now Cujimmy (called Jimmy), from Britain he hails,
Appears to have lived everywhere there, except Wales.
He's got what I think is the answer to life--
Beer, singing, friendship-- and add music? No strife!

I like how Cujimmy comes in with a poem,
May he have him a poet's fine long Mudcat roam!
His manner of speaking is lovely, and sweet,
I am pleased that we have him to welcome and greet.

So here's to you, Jimmy, and well 'tis yer met!
An' it's funnin' and lovin' at the Mudcat ye'll get.
Ye've a heart for th' stories, an' an eye fer the point--
We need more folks like you at Ye Olde Mudcatt Jointe!
