Sahmbles - I honestly suspect that you "first" thread never existed. I know I never saw it.

Well I am rather careful these days. I always check to see if what I have posted appears. Then when it later vanishes (without any editing comment of explanation) I then know that any mistake was not mine.

Talking of editing comments - the following was inserted (not once but twice) in the thread in question.

Multiple threads combined, and the first thread was undeleted because I could see no reason for deletion.

Which strongly suggests that the (now restored original thread) was not lost in any upgrade - but was entirely deleted by persons unknown for reasons unknown and for reasons certainly not indicated or explained in any form of editing comment.
