Subject: RE: Shiny Bum Singers in S of England 2007
Rugby? Ah, yes. We found ourselves performing at Sydney's wonderful Loaded Dog club (best performing acoustics in the southern hemisphere) during and very close by the final of that Rugby World Cup final between England and Australia, so premiered:

We are large, but we are stupid,
And from all the rugby lands we come
With leather balls, and silly headgear,
I am, youse are, we are the rugby ones

Based on 'I Am Australian', Australia's 'Land of Hope and Glory'.

It went down pretty well, so spawned another rugby-based effort, our Haka, as performed by female public servants before being grilled by our Senate Estimates Committee. You cans see that one on our website, Sandra in Sydney put in the clicky for it up near the beginnning of this thread.

It starts:

Warrior Queens of this bureaucrat city
Are we afraid of the Senate Committee?
Nooooo!

It then gets pretty scary. The men in the group back well off, and don't dare approach the women until their eyes have gone back to normal. We had no idea who they were til we saw them doing this one.

Hey, why don't you get us to perform it for you at your folk club or workplace while we are over there?

Cheers,
Chris
