Remember how on the eve of the 2004 election there was an October surprise video with Bin Laden commenting on the US elections, which was credited with helping Bush get quite a few extra votes. (No, of course he didn't actually say "vote for Bush", he attacked him - that's what's called a "paradoxical injunction".)
