I hope that everyone reading this thread has taken the pic of Jackie's viola + serial number to their local music shop/market stall/second hand shop and asked them to watch out for it. If you haven't yet, do it now. Such action can pay off - remember Alan Day's concertina stolen in Sidmouth turning up in the Music Room in Birningham a few days later.
