when my mum was a young girl in war-time
and evacuated to deep rural North Wales..

she encountered something similar at the mountain cottage
where she was accommodated.

it was a small privvy sited on the edge of a cliff
with the seat holes positioned over a long drop
from the cliff edge..

she still fondly remembers losing a cat down one of the holes..
