I think this category includes an accordian player that I am "obligated" to play with in our sessions on (thankfully rare!) occasions. He plays very loud notes that are tunes, but has no idea that we played it 5 minutes ago in a different key, and no idea what anyone else in the group is doing at any time! He is apparently incapable of hearing anything, including himself, and his not physiologically deaf.
