Hmmm. I can't believe that's a proper first verse for ANY version.

To my mind, the one and only first verse starts this way:
Still, still, still,
Weil's Kindlein schlafen will.

Which, in layman's terms, means, Quiet!!!! The kid wants to sleep!!!
