My house was on the corner diagonally opposed to the entrance of the 'Games Park' and every year on the first Saturday in August tens of pipe bands de-bussed outside, formed up, tuned up, and swaggered, the way that marching kilt wearers do, down to compete in the Strathallan Park. Happy memories.
Two brothers' in law wore their kilts (far more interesting and colourful than 'morning dress') when they married my sisters -
