It reminds me of the Goon Show (1950s BBC Radio comedy show) episode "Napoleon's Piano" where the Goons steal Napoleon's piano ("the very piano Napoleon played at Waterloo") from the Louvre museum in Paris, and in the absence of any other transport, have to sail it back to England.
