Does anyone know what is the legal age for someone to play music in the evening in a pub?

My son has started playing a few gigs and the view seems to vary from place to place.

He is currently 14 and will be 15 in February.

Would it make any difference if his father (ie me) was a member of the band?

Would it make any difference if his father was there when he was playing?
