My sincere apologies, too, Liz.   My reference to eating animals was an attempt, albeit clumsy, to point out what wonderful animals cats can be even though they, like most humans, are carnivores.   I did not want to take the focus away from the topic of condolences and shared experiences with losing a beloved animal companion.
