Well, 2007 has been pretty good so far. First of all, a long sleep in till whenever I felt getting up, then a small gathering of friends over at freda's place, with yummy salad and Molly O'Rourke's Irish Whiskey Fruit Cake.

The whiskey in the cake was the only alcohol however. Drinks consisted of tea, coffee and freda's recovery drink, which was wonderfully refreshing - made from soda water, a little lemonade and ginger beer, with lemon juice and crushed up mint. The lemon and mint came from my garden. I said to her "I'm trying to catch the lemon pips but they keep diving to the bottom". She said that was all part of her cunning plan to get the brain working after the hangover :-)

We still have a couple of hours of daylight to go yet, so I'm going out in the garden soon to do battle with the weeds and the local stinging ants. Weeding I enjoy - the ants I could do without :-(
