The owners have informed us that it our responsibility and that we are not to perform any material that is copyrighted without obtaining permission so we have a good list of PD but we would really like to do some of these other songs. You can add Puff the Magic Dragon to the list as well. What catalog are you referring to? Can it be reviewed on line? We have songs like Good King Wensaslas that you would think is PD but I suspect it isn't. How do you know?
