The folks I know
Would to a person say
I'll give you my love
My caring, your pain takeaway.

The friends I know
Open hearts, open minds
With gifts from above
All the same, yet different kinds.

The dearhearts I know
Give to each or to all
All kindness and care
Though none sought glory to recall.

(Bah! Haven't written a good poem in 2-3 years. Time to practise!!)
