Guest - Note that the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms grants every fundamental right that your American Bill of Rights does, including freedom of thought and freedom of expression(meaning: freedom of speech).

Tell me we don't have a bill of rights in Canada. ;-) The problem with Americans is this: they grow up in a society where they are told, from Grade 1 on, that only THEY have things like the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, and only they have FREEDOM. Well, that just isn't true. It's your popular mythology. The rest of the developed world (the democracies) is not as underprivileged and lacking in basic freedoms as you seem to imagine.
